UK property websites keep tracking after “Reject all”: a scan of 50 sites

Marc Alexander scanned 50 UK property websites. 58% loaded ad pixels before any choice, and 70% of those tested kept tracking after Reject all.

1. In a scan of 50 UK property websites on 30 September 2026, 22 of the 38 sites that could be scanned (58%) loaded advertising pixels before the visitor made any choice.
2. Of the 30 sites where "Reject all" could be tested, 21 (70%) kept tracking afterwards and 7 (23%) fully honoured the rejection.
3. 10 of the 32 cookie banners found (31%) had no reject option on the first screen.
4. Server-side tagging ran on 11 of the 38 sites; 6 of those 11 still tracked after a rejection.
